SHIB Team Says No Airdrops As Scams Proliferate

The Shiba Inu meme token has continued to garner considerable attention in the crypto market and given the popularity of the meme token, scammers have begun to take advantage.

They have devised many methods, such as fake giveaways and airdrops, to defraud unsuspecting holders.

The intent is to get users to share their personal information, tokens or their wallet keys.

The SHIB team

Fortunately, the Shiba Inu team has proven to be very vigilant and proactive in protecting their community from scams.

This includes educating them about the opportunities and risks that are involved in the crypto space. Along the same lines, a member of the Shiba Inu team, Lucie, issued a warning to the SHIB community.

She said that people need to be wary of scammers who post about phishing URLs and airdrops. Lucie warned that there are no airdrops and any such claim is aimed at stealing users’ assets.

Lucie called on Shiba Inu users to connect through the official Discord or Telegram and double-check all the information before they decide to click on any link on social media platforms like X.

She also directed the attention of the Shiba Inu community to the official Sheboshis account, which has a blue tick to highlight its verification on X, along with the Shiba Inu logo.

The warnings

Lucie told the Shiba Inu community that the best way to identify the fake Sheboshi accounts was to look for spelling errors.

In an earlier tweet, she had also warned the community to the fact that there were no airdrops and they had already minted out Sheboshis.

A similar warning was issued by Shibarmy Scam Alerts, which said that scammers were tricking users into following them by impersonating official accounts on X.

They then provide misleading information to create doubt, obtaining personal information that is used maliciously, or misdirect to fake websites.

Therefore, the Shiba Inu community has been told to stay cautious and vigilant and always verify the authenticity and source of any messages or links they receive.

New milestones

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu has managed to achieve new milestones with Sheboshis, which are its latest endeavor.

CoinW, the crypto exchange based in Dubai, made an announcement on February 23rd about the initial listing of Sheboshis.

Trading began on the very same day and withdrawals were scheduled to begin a day later. The milestone was announced by the Shiba Inu team on X.

It stated that Sheboshi had gotten its listing on a crypto exchange less than the day after it was sold out. The listing would help in expanding their exposure and reach, which is quite a milestone.

After their debut on February 20th, Sheboshis got a rousing reception from the Shiba Inu community and they showed their enthusiasm and support for the experimental project.
